In this article I learned that both race and poverty levels play a part in the idea of how healthy people eat. Apparently if you live in a neighborhood of lower income then you will have less luck finding a healthy food choice. This is also because of race since the article said that even white neighborhoods have more supermarkets than black neighborhoods- even in poverty. Also black neighborhoods have a lot more sugar in their food options than any other- even the ones who have a better income.
I feel like this is wrong because if all races are in poverty then they should all have the same amount of stores and supermarkets. It seems like there is more energy put into making sure white neighborhoods are taken better care of since they have healthier food options regardless.
