I usually get home from school either at 4 or 6 depending on the day, my main priority is always Tumblr because I have a roleplay life to keep up with. I also spend around equal time on photoshop and facebook while on tumblr. I eat when I have to, honestly because I feel like it would take me away from my work and takes up too much time. I only go outside when I have to go to the store, go walk my dog, go to school, and if I get invited to go somewhere. Leisure allows me to relax when I feel stressed at school or anything else, I also have met plenty of new people that understand my ideas when I'm on Tumblr. So it's a much happier atmosphere for me to be in. In today's class I learned the exact meaning of leisure and how much time I actually spend on the internet at home.

Social Media

            Social media is useful because it can benefit people in more ways than one. One of these reasons would be that social media can promote businesses and allows people to experience new things. Social networks also help you build trust for people that you don't even know. For example if you use Tumblr you find yourself confiding in people that you don't even know because you're able to share basically anything with little to no restriction. Using Tumblr and other Social Media sites you will be able to meet people that have the same interests as you, which could help expand your horizons by adding to what you thought you knew already. Social media can also help police track people and solve crimes a lot faster since you can tell a lot about a person just by their social media website.  People believe that things can be deleted off of social media, but nothing really gets deleted off of your computer.

My Story

I would write a story about the bullying I went through during middle school and how it effected me as a person. This way it would shine a light on the fact that children go through this everyday and it could either positively or negatively effect how the person turns out in the future. But on the other hand, thinking of the way I handled it it would awkwardly shine a positive light on bullying which is something I wouldn't want to do.

Social Media Fame

                          Social Media Fame could be both a good and a bad thing because they both come with equal disadvantages and advantages. One advantage of social media fame would be a lot of attention from strangers which could actually make your day better if its positive. A disadvantage to go with this would be negative attention and everyone feeling like they have a right to be in your business. You could also get more recognition which would help if you're trying to pursue a music, acting, photography, comedy, or writing career. Yet, a downside would be empty communication with people and a whole lot of empty love because the only reason they may like you is for your face. I would like to be social media famous because it would have to be based on something positive and not just a picture I'm taking.

Digital Native VS. Digital Immigrant

                                     Are you a Digital Immigrant or a Digital Native?

       I am a Digital Native because ever since I learned how to use a computer I began to teach myself how to do different things. By 12 I was the tech person for my household and started to teach myself how to code and started to use Tumblr a lot. By 15 I taught myself how to use Photoshop and my whole life surrounded around technology.

My opinion for social media being allowed to use your content for other purposes.

           

              Social media should not be allowed to use your content for other purposes because a company could easily ruin your reputation if your privacy goes into the wrong hands. This could happen by someone taking advantage of their position and take out all of your content to expose it. This could harm how other people see you, your ability to get a job, and it gives people who don't know you information about your life.
